Situated 3.5 miles from Dinas, Waunfawr will be the Railway's southern terminus until phase 3 is opened to Rhyd Ddu in 2002.
These photos were taken whilst the track gang sorted out the ballast on the first platform line and made the station more presentable for the first service trains the following day.
